REGISTRATION

Event Information

After considerable and deliberate discussion by the 2021 WGIPPA Assembly Planning Committee, it has been decided to change the 2021 WGIPPA Annual Assembly to a Virtual Zoom format.

In making this decision, the Committee weighed the safety risks associated with holding large indoor and outdoor celebrations and meetings during the midst of the recent Covid-19 surge, against the safety protocols required to insure a completely safe event. Despite the nearly overwhelming desire to get friends together, it was decided that the risks of an in-person event greatly outweighed available mitigative safety measures.

All individuals who have previously registered for the in-person event will be refunded the full registration cost.

Registrants are responsible to cancel any of their own hotel registrations which may have been made.

The Zoom Assembly will be held on the originally chosen date of Saturday, September 18, 2021. Virtual Registration will be available for a $25.00 charge, which will help defray costs incurred by the organizing committee for the in-person event.

Much of the Assembly’s original planned content will be retained in the Virtual event, and the new Virtual Assembly Program and registration link, is now available for review on this website

As in past Peace Park Assemblies:

  • WGIPPA Board of Directors Meeting will be held (this year by Zoom) at 6:30 PM MDT on Friday, September 17.
  • The WGIPPA Annual General Meeting will be held (via Zoom) at 10:30 AM MDT on Saturday, September 18, and will be concluded prior to a lunch break.
  • The 2021 Annual Assembly Program will then follow at 1400 MDT.

Many heartfelt thanks go out to the 2021 WGIPPA Planning Committee for the innumerable hours they have expended, and the comprehensive planning they have undertaken, to make this year’s event an exciting success under extremely trying conditions.

Please join me in re-registering for this outstanding 2021 Waterton Glacier International Peace Park Association Annual Assembly, in Virtual Format.
